Tired Orange Cat: You arrive outside a well populated town, its name is carved into a nice chunk of white oak and hangs singing in the warm desert air a portly priest flies out rolling down the stairs as two rather large Gnolls and an Orc dash out bags over their arms a nun follows screaming and people start to appear in the street as you mill about in the street the Gnolls and Orc begin to head straight for you forcing you to act

Rae: I duck out of the way, crawling between two buildings, close to the wall.

Gunn: Eyes flick over to the beastly looking creatures, drawing his sword.

TOC: One Gnoll takes notice of Rae as he ducks to the side but continues to follow the Red Gnoll infront of him. They seem to take no notice having their eyes trained on the exit of town

Rae: Rae lifts an eyebrow, edging along the wall, holding tightly to his sword. He puts a foot on one windowsill, climbing unto the roof of the tavern next to him, staying low to the profile of the roof, watching the creatures.

TOC: As Gunn draws his sword the Gnolls break off and the Orc drops his bag and in one movement pulls a sword that looks like a chunk of scrap iron from his side charging Gunn

TOC: Gunn's sword clashes stopping the bull rushing Orc in his tracks. The Gnolls meanwhile have moved into position to flank the Orc having drawn short bows

Gunn: Moving quickly, Gunn steps to the side, bringing the blade smoothly across the Orc's middle, creating a sizeable gash.

Rae: Rae watches carefully, eeling across the top of the roof, takin a second to string his bow. He draws an arrow, sighting carefully, firing rapidly in succession, sending one arrow through the eye of the gnoll to the left of the soldier, sinking the other into the throat of the Orc, crawling quickly back out of sight.

Gunn: A kiss of air brushes Gunn's cheek, followed by another. Attention snaps to the direction from whence they came, seeing a fleeting figure cloaked in black. He picks up the bag from the ground, dusting it off before opening it.

Iris: Hearing the sounds of battle the blind Iris tapps the sleeping marmalde tabby on her shoulder. It opens an an eye half way whispers something in her ear then falls back asleep, Iris turns toward the Gnoll on the right as it brings a bow up to bear

TOC: The Orc crying out tries to raise his sword once again to strike ar Gunn

Rae: He hears the Orc bellow- something. In Orcish. (Well, it won't be doing that for much longer anyway, by the sound of it.) He eels backward on the roof, hanging upside down from the edge, flipping over the side, dropping back to the ground, on the far side of the building.

Iris: Iris cuts the spell loose that she had been preparing with startling accuracy for that of a blind woman consuming the final Gnoll in a raging ball of fire that leaves him in a pil of sizzling hide

TOC: The Orc attempting to drag his battered corpse to Gunn falls forwad dead from wounds severe By now a signifigant crowd has grown in the street in no time Gunn and Iris are surrounded by chattering locals the nuns now helping the priest burst through the crowd showering tearful thankyous on the two adventures standing in the street. The towns folk pick up the three bags and begin to take them back to the church

Gunn: Closing the bag, Gunn ducks under the arc of the blade -- if it can even be called that. (They have no respect for craftsmanship.) One foot is planted firmly on the orc's chest, making a clean cut across its throat. He wipes the blood from his own sword, placing it back in its scabbard. Picking up the bag, he looks for the priest that had so quickly fled before.

Rae: Rae looks around the edge of the building cautiously. (I think it's time to- move on to somewhere else.)

Iris: standing quietly off to the side Iris seems to be staring at the fountain listening to the world around her. The Marmalade Tabby having woke up sits watching the crowd intently

TOC: The city street is bustling with activity now, shouts of free drink and praise are laden upon the might Gunn who so heroically slew the Orc

Jack: "Jes' in time, 'ey?" Jack grins boyishly, clapping Gunn on the shoulder.

Jack: "Did you see a priest?"

Gunn: "He was running that way--" He points off into the distance, looking over at the shaggy man beside him. When the other shakes his head, he shrugs. "I suppose we'll have to wait for him, then."

Rae: (He looks- familiar. Sort of.) He stays in the alley, out of sight to most people, feeling- kind of sick, at the amount of people in the square.

Iris: Moving about the crowd Iris finds the edge of the fountain and sits as the people mill about the fallen Orc

TOC: Through the crowd there is a shout, the roar of the crowd slowly peels away to reveal a man dressed all in green making his way towards the two adventures standing near the orc corpse

TOC: Hailing them good day he sticks out a rather chubby hand. The man could possibly be as round as he is tall or the other way around sweat glistens off him as he introduces himself

TOC: I am Greenwood, Mayor of Fallen Oaks, thankyou for your service here today.

Gunn: "Our pleasure."

Gunn: He bows to the Mayor, smacking the back of Jack's head until he does the same. "I believe, the lady at the fountain helped -- as well as -- another someone, who seems to be gone now."

Jack: A frown crosses his face when he feels Gunn's palm at the back of his head -- again. "Whot do I fuckin' care 'o ye are?"

Rae: Hearing a-- more official sounding voice- Rae turns around, climbing onto the roof of an armory next the tavern he was formerly above. He lays flat to the roof, moving just close enough to hear what's going on, and if there's some kind of reward to be had.

Iris: Dangling her fingers in the little water in the fountain Iris seemed to be unaware of her surroundings, the maramalade tabby however was watching everything with more intellegence then a cat should have, especially one with a mage at his bidding.

TOC: "F-four of you, my word" a look crosses his eyes for a moment as if he was reconsidering something before the smile appeared back on his face "After you have made youselves at home here in town please come join me at my manor. That is of course... after you have taken a bath." Greenwood bows quickly and disappears into the crowd as they converge on Gunn and Jack offering loads of free drink.

Jack: "Aww, thank ye. Ye 'ear that, Gunn? Drinks on 'em!" He grins toothily, eying a particularly buxom woman.

Gunn: "You didn't do anything, Jack." He shakes his head, keeping an eye out for the priest. (What the hell am I supposed to do with this shit?)

Iris: Iris follows the crowd staying at its heels as most of them head toward the rather large bar.

Rae: (Hm. Free drink is-- like free food.) Rae drops off the edge of the armory- feeling more ill the closer he is to the crowd. He moves silently through the crowd, humming softly under his breath, keeping most of the people from seeing him. He stops, when he's next to-- the guard, or- whoever. "

TOC: A group of nuns that are bustling through the crowd look to Gunn as he holds the bag, "Sir, may we have the churches propertyback, for the sake of our diety"
06/24/07 01:25 AM
Gunn: "Of course, sisters. Just looking to keep it safe." He nods, depositing it back in their arms.
06/24/07 01:26 AM
Jack: "Ye might wan' teh get a stronger lock." He runs his fingers through his hair, trying to get it to stay out of his eyes. "Any of ye like a drink?"
06/24/07 01:27 AM
Rae: He tips his head to the side, watching the- scruffy figure. "Are you buying?"

Iris: Iris soon finds the two men that had found her and takes a seat near them seemingly without any trouble even thoug)h a blindfold was tied tightly across her eyes. She smiles politely then begins talking to the sleeping cat, (But who talks to cats

TOC: Round after round are bought for our heros, the music starts up and the party begins as a town only needs a slight excuse to start a party and this was more then a good enough thing to celebrate. With the curch valuables back in their rightful hands everything seems fine with the world. Save for that slight prickle on the back of everyone's necks the enitre night.
